So, what is Show Document?
Show Document is a quick and simple way to share a document with other people at the same time. It is a web collaboration platform that lets individuals
have a free online meeting. It is an alternative to various commercial desktop sharing applications. One can easily upload any file and during the session
mark it up with a pen or a highlighter tool in addition to a text box tool and eraser. There is also a chat box to discuss ideas and changes. Everyone's
cursor is tracked with their name as it moves around the screen. Show Document is a very effective collaboration tool.

As part of the process of launching the Show Document collaborative session, the user selects a file from their computer and uploads it to the Web
Meeting Tool. Next, the user invites guests to co-brows the docyment with them. An invitation to the free web meeting can be done in three ways:
- Sending a code to a guest so they can join the session by going to www.showdocument.com
- Copying and pasting a link in a chat session and then having the guest click on that link to join the online collaboration meeting, and
- Sending an e-mail inviting a guest to join the online web meeting.
Each participant in the session receives a designated color pen allowing everyone to easily distinguish their lines and comments from one another.
The site helps students and professionals needing to work together simultaneously and on the same project to do so while eliminating the need to send documents back and forth via e-mail or by using alternative to desktop sharing tools.
